Lido Key

Lido Key, an elegant European style island, is located west of Sarasota downtown and north of Siesta Key. Two bridges leading to Longboat Key on the north and Sarasota mainland by St. Armands connects the Lido Key to prominent Florida areas.

During the early 1920’s, John Ringling purchased the St. Armands Key, Bird Key and Lido Key. Connecting the mainland with a bridge as Ringling’s first project, he was confident in the development of the Ringling Isles to boost sales. The streets adjoining Lido Key, named by Ringling, was in honor of American presidents. Today, Lido Key preserves the old Florida essence.
